This CRL Makita Scratch Polisher is designed to meet the demand for a low-priced, lightweight portable tool capable of removing light surface scratches from automobile windshields. It also can be used to polish out rubs, fine lines, stains and discolorations on mirrors or glass of any kind. Operates on 110V AC.

A simple test to determine the depth of a scratch is to slowly move your fingernail across the groove of the scratch. If your fingernail does not catch in the groove, the scratch is usually shallow enough to attempt removal by polishing. However, if your fingernail does catch in the groove, it's too deep for removal.
Important: The felt wheel must be dressed and trued before each operation. Old cerium oxide powder can be removed by gently operating the tool for a few seconds on medium grade sandpaper. This operation will also true the felt to a flat, plumb surface.
Package includes one Makita 9218PB Disc Sander/Polisher, Polishing Head Assembly and Spacer plus one pound of cerium oxide.
