This CRL Small Profile Windscreen Base Shoe for 3/8 or 1/2 inch (10 or 12 millimeter) glass is typically used as the base channel for windscreens and privacy partitions. It is not recommended for Hand Rail/Guard Rail applications. The glass is secured using the Rockite® Cement Wet Glaze Method. The Base Shoe is available either pre-drilled or without holes (see chart below). The pre-drilled Base Shoe is designed to use our WBA14X3 1/4 x 3 inch (6.4 x 76.2 millimeter) Wedge-Bolt Anchors and AV1376 Washers for concrete applications, 1/4 inch (6.4 millimeter) Hex Lag Bolts for wood applications, or 1/4 (6.4 millimeter) Hex Bolts for metal or thru-bolt applications.
Extruded aluminum Small Profile Base Shoe can be clad in five different architectural finishes. Roll-In Vinyl is available for dressing off the top opening. A printed Instruction, Installation Hints, Cleaning and Refinishing brochure is available.
Available in 120 and 240 inch (3.05 and 6.10 meter) Stock Lengths or Custom Cut to Your Specifications

NOTE: The most important part of the Base Shoe installation is being sure that it is attached firmly with approved fasteners to a secure substrate.
NOTICE: Because of the difficulty in handling 240" (6.10 m) stock lengths, they will only be available for Will Call at any of our regional warehouses, or for shipment after packaging and handling concerns have been agreed to between CRL and the customer. All heavy Base Shoes have a stock length tolerance of plus or minus 3/4 inch (19 millimeter).
