Reduces Silica Dust in Atmosphere
Wet glass grinding is considered one of the safest ways to edge glass. Somaca/CRL's Wet Twin Belt Seamer features water spray manifolds that shoot a jet of water directly on the grinding belt, reducing the amount of silica dust dispensed into the atmosphere. Wet grinding also reduces friction and heat, which can burn or chip the edges of glass. In addition to twin 3/4 HP motors, each machine is furnished with belt guards, enclosures and pan, spray manifolds, two 120 grit 4 x 106 inch (101.6 x 2692.4 millimeter) abrasive belts, a pair of safety eyewear, and a respirator. 3 phase, 60 cycle, 220/440 volt.
